The sediments and other residues derived from the production of wine and other grape beverages result in important raw material for VERONESE Chemicals.

The company buys and collects large amounts of such residues from wineries. It is a way to contribute significantly to the protection of the environment in the whole wine-producing region in the south of the country.

For many decades this has prevented such residues from being released directly into nature, thus preserving especially the water resources of the region.

After being processed, the material is sent to a Treatment Plant. The liquid part is then returned to the waterways in compliance with rigorous standards established by the environmental agency.

The solid part is rich organic fertilizer which VERONESE makes available to regional farmers.

I would like to learn more about organic fertilizers.

Some processes in the chemical industry bring about inherent risks to human beings and to the environment. The critical points of each process are thoroughly monitored and controlled by an integrated Risk Management Program, or RMP.

RPM has shown that, for a number of years now, work-related accidents and environmental damage brought about by the company has been almost inexistent.

I would like to know more about RMP.
